The battery back up powers even when there is no power so you can still get into your garage.  The motion detector activates the garage door opener lights when you walk in so you won’t have to fumble in the dark. The Security+ 2.0™ safeguards your household with every click a new code is sent to the garage door opener so that the door opens only for you. This system also comes with the Protector System® which has safety sensors that project a light beam across the garage door opening and reverses automatically if something obstructs it.
